This is my first time building a website and it’s pretty cool. The first thing I had to learn is what a Domain Name is. Then I had to think of a good Domain Name for this website. I thought hanashomemade.recipes was good.
After buying my Domain Name, I had to setup something called DNS. I need this so your web browser can find my website. Finally, I just needed a web server and fortunately my dad could help me with that.
My website is powered by a program called Hugo. Hugo does the hard work for me, I only have to write simple pages like this one, in a simple language called markdown.
I also love to ⛸️ and play 🎻
